A place to share your favorite memories of school

Most people love to discover old photos of classmates from college and reminisce on the great (and formative!) times we shared. If you’ve ever been to a class reunion, you know that sharing photos and stories is often the best part - a rare opportunity to reminisce about “the good old days,” to see what’s changed and what hasn’t.

But outside of a slideshow at your 10, 25, or 50 year reunion, how do you share your old photos with classmates? And how do you discover theirs?

While reunions are extremely popular, it remains surprisingly difficult to share memories with former classmates. Sure the occasional photo makes it out of the shoebox and onto Facebook but it quickly disappears down the newsfeed and there is no place to be able to collect all of these memories together.

That’s why we teamed up with the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (my alma mater). This year for Global Ivey Day (a worldwide celebration of all things Ivey), we are helping the entire Ivey alumni community bring their favourite photos, yearbooks, and memories out of the closet and into an online, shareable space where they can be celebrated, together in one place.

Even if you can’t make it to the event in person, you can still be part of the celebration through sharing and discovering photos and memories from “the good old days”. For those who can make it on November 3, you can look forward to reminiscing over old photos and stories at the Ivey gala.
