Download and Save Your Memories Whenever You Like

The technological revolution has changed all of our lives irrevocably. Nearly all of us lead shiny digital lives which accompany and mostly augment our physical lives. Since the start of the computer age, though, there has been controversy surrounding our behaviors online, and whether we have proper access to the data we work so hard to put online. Witness the public's outcry for downloadable Facebook data, not to mention the fact that your data cannot be saved on web services like Ancestry.com.

I downloaded the data from my grandmother's memory page:

Here at 1000memories, we were inspired by the Data Liberation Front, an innovative branch of Google engineers. They believe individuals should have full access to the stuff they've put online whenever they like. It is in this spirit that we built our new 1000memories data exporter.

Our data exporter allows you to download the memory pages you and your community create. We don't give you just part of the data, or unclear, unstructured photos. We have seen what a wonderful tribute a memory page makes, and have built our data exporter to simply transmit the pages you see to your own computer. Whereas Facebook's "download your data" procedure takes forever, and feels confusing, our data exporter is transparent and easy-to-use. As of now, not even Google allows for a complete data download for certain file types. We are proud to be at the forefront technologically. Now you can export memory pages and save the memories to your hard drive, forever.

At 1000memories, we take our responsibility of protecting and preserving memories seriously. And we know that you do too. That's why we created our top-of-the-line data exporter for our visitors. Whenever you like, you can access and download the photos, songs, stories and videos that appear on a loved one's memory page.
