From the outset one of the parts of 1000Memories that has excited us most is the "Projects" section. We have personally seen how hard it is to start a simple scholarship or foundation and how hard to is to know what cause to donate to...

WepayToday, we're happy to announce that we're partnering with WePay, the fast-growing payments provider, to make it super-simple to poll and collect money in someone's memory. When you set up a Project, we will automatically set you up with a WePay donation collection account, free of charge. This means that family and friends can donate from their credit card or bank account, in an instant, directly from 1000Memories. We can also display the total amount you have collected to date as well as the names of those who have contributed.

We've already seen some great uses of the 1M Projects section, such as the JK3 Foundation, which is installing iPads into hospital chemotherapy rooms in honor of John Krettek. People have also been collecting money to support children and families, as well as scholarship funds and charities. We really believe in the power of people to come together and do something positive when a loved one passes away and hope that this makes it much easier to achieve that.
